Introduction
Throughout the history of Earth, the planet’s climate has varied. Over many millions of years, it has slowly changed. In the ice age was due to natural events. Today, it may be caused by people polluting the planet. The most significant climate change that can be observed nowadays is global warming. Global warming is the rise in the temperature of the Earth’s atmosphere, which causes changes in the world’s climate. Global temperatures have risen in the past 140 years at a much faster rate than at any other time in the past 1,000 years. Scientists predict that the Earth’s temperature could rise by up to 65 degrees Celsius by the year 2100. Global warming could have many different impacts on our planet, especially on sea levels, wildlife, extreme weather, coral reefs, and humans. Click here to learn more about it.

Helping Turtles with Space Technology:
Water Purification System
There is this in-school activity called Roots and Shoots. It's been one month Roots and Shoots has been working on making a new habitat for 23 homeless turtles and tortoises. We went to the zoo to estimate the amount of space we had. We even did a tour of the zoo and saw many interesting animals: elephants, turtles, monkeys, birds, antilopes and many more ... So now the Roots and Shoots club has a little idea of the space we have!! :) AND believe me it's a pretty big place!! So right now we are drawing plans and they are pretty good-looking. In the habitat, there is a pool. The pool has to have clean water for the turtles. So in our Science class we are making a water purification system. And quess what the system is just like the ones they use in NASA the space program. So this shows how space technology can help here on Earth. We can do the same thing to help people get clean water too! This is our model:
