A regular t-shirt may say on the tag that it is made with 100% cotton but what about the dyes and stains in the shirt that are used to maintain color? After a while, on average 25 washes, the dyes begin to wear out and escape into the air and add to global warming.

absolutely nothing to do with global warming.” But, you would be wrong.   Did you know that each year a regular clothes washer emits 160 pounds of carbon dioxide! If you think that’s a lot, you must not know that a drier emits almost five times that amount! That’s a whopping 700 pounds!

  1. Try to buy energy efficient energy star appliances for your home and kitchen! Look for this logo on your washer and drier to make sure that they are good for the earth.
