This wepage is going to talk about all the diferent countries that are in the space program.
NASA stands for National Aeronautics and Space Administration. It is the program of the United States. It has launched many famous missions, including the Apollo Project, the Space Shuttle, and the Hubble Space Telescope. It is still alive today, and it is currently doing the Cassini mission, working on the ISS (International Space Station), and much more. It is also planning future missions. Some missions failed, too, like the crash of space shuttle Challenger and Apollo 13. The Swiss Space Office (SSO) is the space program of Switzerland. It is based in Lausanne, Switzerland. It is currently working on three projects; the GGES project, the CHEOPS project, and the Clean-mE project. The GGES is designed to test an earth sensor. The CHEOPS project is designed to be a search for exoplanets using satellites. Finally, the Clean-mE project is a project where nano-satellites clear space debris. By cleaning the space debris, other satellites won’t crash. The UK Space Agency is the national space program of the UK. It was launched in March 23, 2010. It is working on several missions, including AKARI, a space telescope, Gaia, a mission where the Milky Way is being examined, and Envisat, a satellite that observes the earth. They are working on a lot of missions, so I can’t name them all. NSPO (National Space Program Office) is the space program of Taiwan. It was created in 1991, and launched many missions and programs. Among those are the FORMOSAT satellites and the AMS-02. FORMOSAT satellites are the ones that orbit the earth and give information on the weather, climate change, well, all those stuff. The AMS-02 is a mission designed to study dark matter. Experiments are currently made on the ISS. ASI is the program of Italy. It stands for Agenzia Spaziale Italiana, and was founded in 1988. Its president is Enrico Saggese. The space program has many missions. It works on space habitability, exploring the solar system, and satellites. Here are a few missions: Rosetta, Emersat, and Cosmo-Skymed. NASRDA (National Space Research and Development Agency) is the national space program of Nigeria. The president of the program is Goodluck Jonathan. The program launches communication satellites and earth weather forecast satellites, too. Since 1998 the International Space Station has been visited by astronauts from 14 countries — and more will come in the future. IT was started by the U.S., Russia, Canada, Japan, and the participating countries of the European Space Agency So far there are these countries: Participating ESA country members include: | Modern Space Technologies Developing Space Programs Nigeria - National Space Research & Development Agency Uganda - African Space Research Programme
